
1) People will stop work in the evening to watch the IPL matches which will result into poor productivity.
2) Most of the Indians will switch on TV until 11.30 PM everyday.
Along with this Fan/AC/Lights will also consume Power and
ultimately high usuage of electricity for these 2 months.
3) Since people watch matches upto 11.30 or 12, the productivity in the next day will also get affected.
4) People used to discuss the matches during office ours, which will decrease the productivity during the day time also.
5) April is the month for all board/Univerisy exams. All students will watch cricket match instead of preparing for exams which will result into poor performance in the exams.
6) During holidays, people used to travel across the state or country which will greatly increase revenue to the tourism deparment and will provide jobs to numerous people. Because of IPL,everybody wants to sit at home and watch matches which will affect the Tourism in India.
7) IncreasedTraffic Jams in the cities where the IPL matches played. which will result into high usage of fuel and more air pollution.
Wondering who will get benifitted from this IPL ? All the IPL Franchise owners and BCCI. Not India. Indian government will get ONLY 80 Crore rupees as tax after sacrificing the economic growth.
